The Mute Swan: Cygnus olor

The Mute Swan is an introduced species in the United States, but is now common in some areas, including Connecticut. Inhabiting habitats ranging from local ponds to open saltwater, the mute swan may pose a threat to native waterfowl and plant species. The mute swan is one of the birds that got me interested in avian photography and continues to be a great subject.
