Connecticut Shorebirds

Please Choose a Photograph For Viewing:

I spend most of my time in the field stalking shorebirds. Photographing shorebirds is a real challenge because they are small, fast, and often skiddish (especially of photographers with large lenses). The best way to approach them is to get down at there level... most of the images in this gallery were shot laying in the mud/sand with the birds. Although messy, this approach allows a close interaction with the birds and makes for great images. I hope that you enjoy them!
